I need to create because of the meaning of it's own... to imagine, conceive and materialize shapes and volume using my hands and textures as my accomplices. To create is to remember and at the same time, to experience new emotions while playing around with my ghosts and inventing fantasies. I use mainly the human form because it is the source and the refuge of emotions. Its beauty, perfection, vulnerability and strength allow me to express movement, sensuality and feelings. More than its exterior I want my pieces to show the spiritual beauty that an individual can find within and enhance through love. When I create a feminine body I represent all creation. By nature, a woman is eroticism and sensuality. The man is attracted to creation through femininity. She is the future creative mother. The shape of the woman is then the symbolism of sensuality, eroticism and the creative power of the universe. The union of man (yang) and woman (ying) represents the opportunity that nature gives us to place ourselves in the harmony of the universal balance. It is the way for humans to show their dual reality. The relationship between man and woman is the manifestation of our unconscious symbols that drive us to higher grounds. Through my work, I can bring out my own evolution as a human being and my understanding of each individual that has left something in my mind and in my heart. In times when we see so much violence, loss of values and tolerance and little awareness, I want the world to find refuge in each of my sculptures and to be able to look inside, smile and eventually keep on trusting life.
